Bring your enthusiasm, leadership, and love of working with youth to Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York’s 2026 Summer Day Camp Team! Looking to use your medical skills in a meaningful, hands-on way this summer?

Camp Is-Sho-Da is seeking a qualified and caring Health Director to oversee the health and wellness of campers and staff while supporting a safe, positive camp experience.
This role is ideal for a licensed healthcare professional or experienced health services provider who enjoys working with youth, collaborating with a leadership team, and balancing clinical care with relationship-building in an active camp environment.
Camp Is-Sho-Da operates primarily as a day camp, with an overnight experience every Wednesday, providing variety while maintaining a predictable schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing camper and staff health paperwork before the Monday of each weekly session begins
  • Managing daily health services and first aid care
  • Administering and tracking medications per policy
  • Assessing illnesses and injuries and coordinating care
  • Maintaining accurate health documentation and compliance
  • Communicating with families, staff, and leadership as needed
  • Supporting health protocols, training, and emergency preparedness
Employment Dates 
June 22 – August 14, 2026 
Compensation & Perks 
  • Earn $195 - $205 per day (depending on experience).

What You Bring: 
  • At least 21 years old by June 28, 2026. 
  • Currently NYS certified EMT, LPN, or RN
  • Currently certified in CPR Pro and First Aid RTE or willingness to get certified
  • Ability to interact positively with youth ages 7 to 17; prior youth-focused work or volunteer experience preferred. 
  • Ability to build and maintain positive professional work relationships.  
  • Access to reliable transportation; valid driver's license required.
