Seasonal Property Maintenance Specialist
Position Summary
The Seasonal Property Specialist assists in all the areas of camp including property and maintenance in compliance with GSUSA, NYSDOH, OSHA, and ACA standards and regulations. This position is responsible for ensuring the usability, safety , and security of their assigned properties, including the grounds, facilities, and equipment by carrying out maintenance activities. Hours are flexible and position can be FT or PT.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on buildings, cabins, restrooms, docks, and common areas
Maintain camp grounds including mowing, trimming, trail upkeep, and basic landscaping
Assist with opening and closing procedures of camp facilities
Monitor property for safety concerns and promptly address issues
Support setup and breakdown of program areas, events, and special activities
Safely operate basic tools and equipment (mowers, hand tools, power tools, etc.)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces
Follow all safety procedures and camp policies
Collaborate with camp leadership and seasonal staff to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
Experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, landscaping, or related work preferred
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work outdoors in varying weather
Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
Valid driver’s license preferred
Passion for working in an outdoor camp environment
